“In terms of doing things I take a fairly scientific approach to why things happen and how they happen. I don't know if there's a god or not...”
- Bill Gates
About a year ago, in my studies of mystic and esoteric concepts, I came across the work of a physicist named David Bohm and a philosopher named Jiddu Krishnamurti. Bohm described how his wife had come across J. Krishnamurti’s work and was amazed at how much his philosophical outlook sounded like Bohm’s concepts in physics. In the course of my continued research in the areas of neuroscience and quantum physics, along with mystic and esoteric teaching, I'm amazed at how science continues to corroborate ancient teachings.
Now, I absolutely love both science and philosophy, so to my close friends, it’s only natural that I would broach these subjects. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant surprise to learn from the works of David Bohm and J. Krishnamurti that science was birthed out of philosophy. Think about it, both disciplines generally start with “why” or how.
The connection between science and philosophy, and what that means for your “why” is very important, especially when it comes to the process of manifestation. Asking “why” enough often leads to the ultimate question of “why not”? Why questions allow you to expand your horizons. It helps to see beyond the box and helps you to realize there ultimately is no box. Why questions open up limitless possibilities and the right why questions set an unquenchable fire towards your “where”.
When you unlock the power of “why not”, you’re able to tap into a transcendent mental space. That space allows you to think bigger, more broadly, and more boldly. Think about it. To get from simple mathematics to more complex mathematics, your mind has to be able to comprehend on a broader scale. There are thought processes that you have to unlock in your mind to achieve that. Math is science, science is philosophy. Let me give you a fun fact. Egypt’s original name was Kemet. They had a mystic Kemetic Science that, in general, was only taught to the priests. Alchemy, which gave way to Chemistry, is an occult science that originated from an Arabic phrase Al-Kemet. So, when we study Chemistry, we are literally studying ancient Egyptian mystic teachings. Pretty cool right.
Now you may be asking what does any of this have to do with my “where”. It has everything to do with it. Some of you have goals so big that it’s going to take a brand new version of yourself to reach those goals. Your goals will require a sort of alchemical transformation from you. I’m about to go Mr. Miyagi on you real quick. In order to become, you must first be.
Before I end this blog post, allow me to bring the opening quote from Bill Gates full circle. Although he ended the quote with, “I don’t know if there’s a god or not”, his line of thought is not too far off from the ancient texts. Proverbs 25:2 says, It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. In short, royalty was the pinnacle of success in the times of kings and queens. It was and still considered a glorious thing to search out matters. Let me put it another way. It is a glorious thing to find out “why”
Well, until next week my friend. I look forward to jumping back into the “Why” of things with you.
