One day I was sitting on my 10 year old sofa thinking about my life. I thought about what it was like to grow up as latch key kid. I thought about what it was like growing up, watching guys sell drugs in my neighborhood. I wanted to be like them! I thought about what it was like being adopted by grandparents who worked all the time. I thought about the examples I saw growing and the examples had in my life at that time. I felt lost and I felt stuck. I felt like I had let my family, my friends and my community down. I concluded, if I was to die in THAT moment, I’d have to be cremated. I had ZERO to show for life and desperately needed hope.

That’s when it hit me. I jumped off that sofa and called a friend to help me take all of my furniture to the dumpster. In that moment, I decided to start again. I decided get out of the passenger seat of life and hopped in the drivers seat.

I began to redefine my “Where” (where did I really want to go?), fortify my “Why”(why was this where so important?) and with those two combined, I knew my “What”(what to do with what I had) to start my journey to success. Two six figure businesses and a book later, I’m on my way to my “where” with the top down and wind in my hair.
